Meet The Staff
Michelle, Administrative Assistant
I have been in the dental field for over 30 years as both an administrative assistant and as a dental assistant. I began part-time in this office in 2001, then went full time in 2018. I am a native to Harrisonville and enjoy working in the same town in which I grew up as I know a lot of our patients; I look forward to getting to know new patients as well. I am here to assist anyway possible by greeting and checking out patients, as well as scheduling appointments. I am also proud to have been involved with our military service members by providing dental care in preparation of deployment.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have one daughter, two sons, a daughter-in-law and a beautiful granddaughter. I also have two furry children and a furry grandchild.
Kelli, Administrative Assistant
I have been in dentistry for 12 years as an administrative assistant. I have really enjoyed getting to know our patients and their families. My top priority is making sure that all aspects of your visit is as pleasant as possible, from the time you make the appointment, check in, and departure. I am more than happy to help with any insurance or billing inquiries you may have.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 4 children. Our days are filled with attending our children’s sporting events and all the fun things that living on a farm has to offer. When we do get free time, our favorite vacation spot is in Alaska. Summers are beautiful there!
Susan, Dental Assistant
Throughout my 30-year career in the dental field, I have had many opportunities and experiences that have allowed me to approach my job as a dental assistant with a unique perspective. Working as a dental professional, my goal is to make each patient feel at ease and confident in the care they are receiving. In addition to being an assistant at KC Family Dental Care, I am involved with the Armed Forces to ensure that our soldiers receive exceptional dental care prior to their deployment. I am truly honored to contribute to the well-being of our troops.
Outside of work, my personal life is filled with time at the lake with family and friends, cheering on the Chiefs (I even named my dog Kelce!) and traveling to warm places. My hard-working husband, Matt, and I have embraced the role of grandparents to our grandson who is our WORLD! My family helps me recharge and unwind and I am thankful for an employer that allows that balance.
Crystal, Registered Dental Hygienist
Hello, I’m Crystal, a Registered Dental Hygienist with a Bachelor of Science degree from UMKC. With over 25 years in dentistry, I am passionate about my career. I love making an impact on patient’s oral health resulting in improved overall health. My greatest compliment is being told that I’ve calmed their fear by having a gentle touch, yet thoroughness, during procedures. In my 17 years working at KC Family Dental, it has been a pleasure to see patients grow up and become parents of their own and, in turn, entrust the care that I provide to their own children.
Aside from working at KC Family Dental, I have traveled throughout the United States for over 10 years providing dental care for our military service members prior to their deployment. Beyond my career, I am a proud Mom to 5 children ranging in age from 23 all the way down to 5 years old. I am deeply engaged in homeschooling and learning alongside them. Balancing my career and home life wouldn’t be possible without the help and hard work of my amazing husband Curt. In whatever free time we have, we spend with our children in their extracurricular activities, including theater, dance, youth group and basketball.
Arkia, Registered Dental Hygienist
Hi there! My name is Arika and I work as a Registered Dental Hygienist, having graduated from Concorde Career College with an Associates In Applied Science. I started my career in the dental field in 2007, as a dental assistant, where I worked for six years before deciding to continue my career and education by going back to school to become a dental hygienist. One of my greatest attributes is being able to empathize and show kindness to our patients. I have been told by patients that I have a calming and pleasant chairside manner, which makes for a more enjoyable experience while being in the dental office.
Outside of the office, I have a full-time job of being a mother and wife. My husband Kenneth and I have 4 children, 3 girls and 1 boy. Kenneth and I are always doing a project of some kind, and both of our younger children keep us busy with sports and other activities. In our free time, we enjoy the lake life and spending time with friends and family.

Jenny, Office Manager
I’m the new kid on the block at KC Family Dental Care, although I bring over 25 years of office management to the practice and have seamlessly taken on the role of overseeing and managing the workings of our practice. I look forward to getting to know the wonderful patients and assisting in delivering a top-tier experience for each of them. My specialty is dental billing and welcome the challenges of insurance company’s intricates. I have completed numerous hours of continuing education in order to be better equipped to best serve our patients. I have taught various courses in Dental Practice Management and Insurance Billing and Coding and love networking with other dental professionals. My passion is also supporting local community dental care for children as I served for many years on the board that oversaw the creation of a local dental clinic dedicated to treating Medicare and underserved children, as well as assisting with dental screenings in Cass County elementary schools.
I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren and enjoy family time watching the Chiefs, and other family activities. I love traveling to warm places, reading and spending time with my friends and supporting local music. During the summer you can usually find me on the bike trails.
